ICON has developed a floatover system to suit installation of topsides decks up to 1200 tonnes. The method provides an alternative to using crane barges, and when used in conjunction with a rig-installed substructure it completely eliminates the dependency on crane barge.

ICON developed the floatover system from the concept right through to carrying out the installation offshore. The substructure and deck need to be specifically designed to suit the method. Hence early involvement by ICON in the design is required to ensure success offshore.
